Choco Lava Muffins Christmas Recipe

 

  1. Ingredients:

  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In another bowl, whisk the melted butter and sugar until smooth. Add eggs and vanilla, whisking until fully combined.
  4. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients, alternating with the buttermilk, until just combined. Do not overmix.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips gently with a spatula.
  6. Divide the batter evenly among the muffin liners, filling each about 3/4 full.
  7. Bake for 18–20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Allow the muffins to cool in the tin for 5 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
