Ingredients
- 1 large bag tortilla chips
- 500 g ground beef
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1 cup shredded cheddar or quick-melt cheese
Fresh Tomato & Cucumber Salsa
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/2 cup diced cucumber
- 1 small red onion, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon calamansi or lime juice
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add onion and garlic, then sauté until fragrant.
- Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon.
- Season with soy sauce, black pepper, and paprika. Stir well and cook for another 3–4 minutes. Set aside.
- In a bowl, mix tomatoes, cucumber, red onion, calamansi juice, and salt to make the fresh salsa.
- Arrange tortilla chips on a large oven-safe platter or baking tray.
- Spoon the savory beef evenly over the chips, then sprinkle generously with shredded cheese.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 8–10 minutes, or until the cheese is fully melted.
- Remove from the oven and top with fresh tomato-cucumber salsa. Serve immediately.
