Crispy Fried Potato Balls with Garlic oil

Ingredients:

  • 4 large potatoes, peeled and boiled
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying

For the Garlic Aioli Sauce:

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Directions:

  1. In a large bowl, mash the boiled potatoes until smooth. Add salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Mix well.
  2. Shape the mashed potatoes into small balls using your hands.
  3. Set up a breading station with three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten egg, and one with breadcrumbs mixed with Parmesan cheese.
  4. Roll each potato ball in flour, dip in the beaten egg, and then coat in the breadcrumb mixture.
  5. Heat oil in a deep pan over medium-high heat. Fry the potato balls in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per batch.
  6. Remove from oil and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
  7. For the garlic aioli, combine mayonnaise, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, and pepper in a small bowl. Mix until smooth. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
  8. Serve the crispy potato balls hot with garlic aioli on the side.
